| Description: | The dissertation entitled “The Effectiveness of Literary Texts in Teaching and Learning Language Activities: The Primary School Stage as a Model” addresses a crucial topic in the field of Arabic language studies in general, and applied linguistics in particular. This research aims to strengthen the role of literary texts in enhancing learners’ linguistic skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) in an integrated and complementary manner. It also seeks to motivate students to engage with diverse types of texts, to understand, analyze, and express them in their own unique styles, enriched by the religious, national, and ethical values embedded in these texts. Given the variety of language activities, the study divides them into two major categories: Didactics of spoken language activities (listening, speaking, and reading) and didactics of written language activities (handwriting, spelling, and written composition). The study further identifies the challenges learners face in acquiring each of these skills and proposes suitable remedial strategies to overcome them. Ultimately, the research concludes that the literary text constitutes the core of the educational process, exerting a profound influence on learners’ mastery of the language as a tool for acquiring and transmitting knowledge, both orally and in writing. In doing so, it contributes to building effective linguistic communication grounded in comprehension and expression, supported by the use of modern technological tools. |
