Abstract: This study purposefully investigates speaking challenges in English as a second language that may effects the use of language as a communication tool to easily interact and run a conversation in English. Regardless to their cultural background without referring to the target language. This study aims to explore difficulties that may ESL learners face a barrier to perform orally. Hence, seeking the factors that hinder student’s ability to enhance communication skills. Three data collection tools is used to conduct this research study; a test, classroom observation, and teacher’s interview. the findings reveal that ESL learners of the University of IBN KHALDOUN department of English cultural awareness is not acquired. this study presents a series of suggestions and strategies to improve ESL learners oral performance in English language.
