| Abstract: | عرف التاريخ أبطالا ذادوا عن حياض الأمة، فسجل التاريخ أمجادهم بأحرف من ذهب، وأصبحوا رموزا للإسلام، ومنهم من طُمس ذكره فلم يَعرف مآثره إلا القل القيل، من أبناء هذه الأمة، نذكر منهم الملك العادل نور الدين محمود، فهو من القلائل الذين أفنوا أعمارهم في العلم و العمل، و الجهاد و الإصلاح، فلم يُعرف في زمنه ولا قبله إلا الواحد بعد الواحد، من اجتمعت فيه هذه الخصال، العلم والعمل والجهاد والشجاعة والكرم، ولكن هل يُكتب الخلود ورفع الذكر لمن هيئ لفتح القدس كما كتب لمن حاز شرف فتحها؟ . إن أولى الناس بالذكر الحسن من حاز قصب السبق في هذه القضية، لا من ورثها جاهزة مهيأة، فذكر السلطان نور الدين محمود يستوجب الثناء الجميل، لتدبيره الجهاد وتوحيده البلاد، فخليق بمن هذه حاله، في كثرة محاسنه، وحسن مكارمه، وعظيم مفاخره، واتصال محامده، وعلو مبانيه، أن يُفحَصَ عن خبره ويبحث عن أثره، ويُنَقَّر عن أمره وسيرته، لتكون نبراسا للاهتداء و علما للاقتداء |
| Description: | : Many furious heroes had defended the glory of the Islamic nation, so history recorded their glories and made them symbols of Islam. Some of them are those whose names are absent from contemporary history books and only few people know about their exploits. Among the sons of this nation, we mention the righteous king, Nur al-Din Mahmoud, for he was one of the few who spent their lives in getting knowledge, , Jihad, and reforms. But does the honor reserved only to those who had previously prepared the conquest of Jerusalem and not for those who followed them and earned the honor of conquering it. Sultan Nur al-Din Mahmoud deserves great praise for his jihad and the liberation of Jerusalem from the crusaders. A man like him, for his many good deeds, rare morals, great stances, steadfastness in goodness, and his pursuit of the development of the country should be well-known. Historians and scholars must revive his history and biography to be a guideline for enlightenment and a science for emulation. |
