Résumé: The role of mother tongue in teaching/learning foreign languages has been the subject of much debate and controversy for being considered a very important issue. Hence, this research work examined attitudes of both teachers and learners towards the use of mother tongue in teaching/learning English language. The main purpose is to find whether or not the mother tongue should be involved in English classrooms depicting its effects on the learning process
