The work we've done throughout the years on the work of Nina Bouraoui allowed us to raise the issue of the women's place in the context of a dual cultural belonging with irreconcilable borders. After this forced exile, this cut; symbol of an injury, Nina Bouraoui will live the uprooting of a being marked by a sense of loss and wandering. Her words will try to find a central point, soothing and serene. Her experience of being born a woman is reflected through her first novel “La Voyeuse interdite”, the difficulty of the central character (Fikria) to support herself in a cultural context of an Arab-Muslim society of the seventies in Algiers. A negative vision of the world, of "Moors" women, of the city will be constantly mentioned. Keywords : look ; women ; confinement; moorish ; Algeria
Description: Summary The work that we have carried out over the years on the work of Nina Bouraoui has enabled us to raise the question of the place of women in a context of double cultural affiliation/belongings with irreconcilable borders. Following her forced exile, cut, and symbolic wound, Nina Bouraoui will experience the uprooting of a being marked by the feeling of loss and wandering/vagrancy. Her words will try to find a soothing and serene central point. From her experience of being born a woman, her first novel ‘La Voyeuse interdite’ will shine through the difficulty of the central character (Fikria) in coming to terms with an Arab-Muslim cultural context of the 2207s in Algiers. A negativist vision of the world, of “Moorish” women, of the city will be constantly evoked. Keywords : Gaze; women; confinement; Moorish ; Algeria
