Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine both learning and teaching process for teachers and students during the COVID19 period. It focuses on the factors that had an impact on the students. The main reason behind this research is to look into the psychological health of EFL students and to look into the issues and challenges they face while learning during the confinement. This research aims to discover their mental health problems, as well as their learning and teaching process; challenges. It also seeks to investigate teachers' perspectives on the impact of COVID-19 on master one degree students in the English department Ibn Khaldoun Tiaret. In order to collect data for this study, we administered a questionnaire to 40 students and 5 teachers. The results reveal that COVID19 had negatively impacted their mental health, academic performance and process teaching.
