| Abstract: | L'huile de cade est le produit de la pyrogénation du cadier ; Juniperus oxycedrus D'usage ancien, elle est connue pour ses vertus thérapeutiques, en particulier contre diverses maladies de la peau. L empoisonnement par le cade est grandes quantités du produit ou dû à des applications dermiques prolongés, particulièrement chez les enfants et les nouveau-nés. Dans cette étude nous avons étudié la toxicité du cade brute de commerce chez des rats wistar, suite à des applications cutanées répétées. Certains résultats de l étude ont montré une atteinte rénale chez un sujet traité par le cade, cela serait probablement dû à l ingestion par léchage du cade appliqué sur la peau.Ainsi. |
| Description: | Cade oil is the product of the pyrogenation of the cade tree; Juniperus oxycedrus. Of ancient use, it is known for its therapeutic properties, particularly against various skin diseases. Cade poisoning is most commonly the result of care resulting from the ingestion of large quantities of the product or due to prolonged dermal applications, particularly in children and newborns. In this study, we investigated the toxicity of raw commercial cade in Wistar rats following repeated cutaneous applications. Some results of the study showed kidney damage in a subject treated with cade, this was likely due to ingestion by licking cade applied to the skin. Thus, poisoning by dermal products in animals is likely to cause poisoning through ingestion, rather than through dermal absorption. Larger studies should be conducted to obtain more conclusive results |
