Abstract: Enhancing the translation skills of EFL learners is an essential step for developing their ability to produce accurate and effective translation. However, addressing the challenges learners face in the translation process is important. On this basis, the research aims to investigate the difficulties encountered by EFL students in translation, as well as the techniques and strategies employed by teachers to improve their students’ performance. In order to provide an efficient study we utilized qualitative research approach. A teachers’ interview and a classroom observation were used in order to collect the required data. The findings revealed that learners encounter various challenges in translation at the level of grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and cultural nuances. The results also showed that teachers ought to adopt a set of strategies and techniques to guide students improve their translation skills .
