| Description: | Causal relationship plays a significant role in the field of tort liability as it helps identify the source of fault and what compensation is due to the injured party. Despite the complexity that characterizes the causal relationship in determining and negating tort liability, several jurisprudential theories have been developed that provide various solutions, none of which are considered definitive. Judges often resort to these theories when legislation lacks specific legal texts regarding this aspect, in order to resolve the legal challenges that arise before them. |
