dc.descriptionpinel-type oxides ZnMn2O4 and SrMn2O4 were biosynthesized by the sol-gel method using gum tragacanth (TG) and applied in photocatalysis for the degradation of Congo red. The results of infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction show that the two spinels are successfully synthesized, notably ZnMn2O4. The synthesizedspinel ZnMn2O4 has photocatalyticefficiency.en_US
