| Abstract: | توفر مذكرات الكولونيل البريطاني "إدوارد سكوت" (1836-1943) لمحة ثاقبة عن شخصية الأمير عبد القادر خلال فترة تواجده في زمالة الأمير عام 1841. تُقدم هذه المذكرات نظرة من منظور غربي على قائد المقاومة الجزائرية، وتُسلط الضوء على جوانب مختلفة من شخصيته وقيادته. يصف سكوت رحلته إلى معسكر الأمير عبد القادر، ملاحظًا قوة جيشه ونظامه. أُعجب سكوت بشجاعة الأمير وكرم ضيافته، كما لاحظ ذكاءه وتدينه. يُقدم سكوت تفاصيل عن الحياة اليومية في معسكر الأمير، بما في ذلك العادات والتقاليد والقوانين. يُثني على عدالة الأمير وحكمته في حل النزاعات و يروي سكوت دوره كوسيط بين الأمير عبد القادر والسلطات الفرنسية. يُظهر سعي الأمير للسلام مع الحفاظ على كرامة شعبه، بينما يبرز تعنت الفرنسيين وسعيهم لكسر مقاومة الأمير كما يُركز على مهارات الأمير القيادية، بما في ذلك قدرته على إلهام وإدارة جيشه، وبناء تحالفات مع القبائل المختلفة. يُشير أيضًا إلى عدله وكرمه، مما أكسبه احترام وتقدير شعبه. ان مذكرات سكوت شهادة قيّمة عن شخصية الأمير عبد القادر كقائد عسكري ودبلوماسي. تُظهر المذكرات احترام سكوت للأمير وتقديره لذكائه وشجاعته. تُقدم هذه المذكرات مساهمة هامة في فهمنا لحياة الأمير عبد القادر ودوره في المقاومة الجزائرية ضد الاستعمار الفرنسي. |
