Abstract: Evaluating EFL learner‘s translation skills is regarded as important process. Effective translation learning is essential. However, evaluating its effectiveness can be a significant challenge for learners. In this respect, this study aims to scrutinize EFL learner‘s translation skills at the third-year level, as they struggle with difficulties in translation that hinder they learning process. The researchers conducted this study through a questionnaire with third year students at Iben Khaldoun University and a structured interviews with (04) teachers in the same university district based on qualitative and quantitative methods for data analysis. The findings revealed that learners face many difficulties in translation at the level of grammar, vocabulary and cultural nuances. Besides, the results revealed that teachers should adopt some strategies and methods, as they must act autonomously to facilitate pupil‘s translation learning and to improve learners‘ translation skills such as self-assessment, peer review and formative and summative assessment.
