| Abstract: | La rhinotrachéite infectieuse bovine (IBR) est causée par l’herpesvirus bovine de type 1 (BoHV-1), qui menace sérieusement l’industrie bovine mondiale. Le BoHV-1 provoque également une affection génitale connue sous le nom de vulvovaginite pustuleuse infectieuse (VPI). L’infection n’est pas transmissible à l’homme. Le BoHV-1 est un virus à ADN double brin doté d’une enveloppe. Son gène code pour 70 protéines. Le BoHV-1 est l’un des virus importants qui infectent de manière aigue les neurones locaux par les voies respiratoire ou reproductives et établissent une latence. Le BoHV-1 est l’un des agents pathogènes importants du syndrome de maladie respiratoire bovine. Cependant, les vaccins inactivés ou atténués sont moins efficaces pour prévenir l’IBR |
| Description: | Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) is caused by bovine herpesvirus type 1 (BoHV-1), which seriously threatens the global cattle industry. BoHV-1 also causes a genital condition known as infectious pustular vulvovaginitis (IPV). The infection is not transmissible to humans. BoHV-1 is a double-stranded DNA virus with an envelope. Its gene is encoding 70 proteins. BoHV-1 is one of the important viruses acutely infect local neurons through the respiratory or reproductive tracts and establish latency. BoHV-1 is one of the important pathogens of bovine respiratory disease syndrome. However, inactivated or attenuated vaccines are less effective in preventing IBR. |
