Abstract: Knowing how to approach the workings of language critically is becoming a necessary skill for all learners. This article represents a feminist critical discourse analysis that applies critical thinking to a variety of social situations and reveals the underlying politics based on social interpretations such as beliefs, and gender differences. This research was based on a questionnaire and analysis of the Algerian popular proverbs about women. The results indicated that the percentage of women was greater than the percentage of men
