Abstract: The current study revolves around the co-existence of gender gap in the administrations of Ibn Khaldoun University-Tiaret, from female administrators’ perspective. Our endeavour is to measure several aspects of gender inequality mainly: sexism, gender discrimination, and stereotype; therefore, male/female inequality has been raised. Our intention to cover this topic was not coincidental, but it was a deliberate attempt to uncover the real factors that contribute to the phenomenon from sociological and psychological perspectives. We examined women’s gender inequity in an Algerian society by taking into account gender as an intervening variable. In order to undertake this research, a focus group, a questionnaire and an observation are used as research tools with a sample of 50 women from different administrations at Ibn Khadoun University- Tiaret. The findings of this endeavour exhibit that women in administrations still experience gender inequality/discrimination during work in the light of the increasing rates of women’s employment.
