Abstract: Self-regulated learning (SRL) scaffolding connect two complementary processes. SRL is an active constructive controlled process promoting an "autonomous" learning when scaffolding is a temporary adaptive designed process "supporting" a learning task accomplishment. SRL Scaffolding is perceived as a teaching-learning construct that bring out potential ways for effective design of learning environments; where learners have more autonomy and teaching-learning support is more mediated by technology. Theoretically, this project explore - scaffolding and SRL - as two asymmetric processes in order to understand key (cognitive, pedagogic, technologic …) aspects. The exploration phase aim to capture relevant characteristics and functions that contribute to the alignment and integration of these processes. Practically, this project implements SRL scaffolding as temporary software entity called “SRL scaffold”. The prototyping phase aim to reflect the theoretical-practical background of this project and to bring out pedagogical-technological potentials of SRL scaffolds
