Résumé:	حسب المصادر المادية والأدبية اللاتينية والإغريقية التي تذكر أخبار الحرب المندلعة جنوب موريطانيا ونوميديا بدأ تواجد الرومان في الصحراء الجزائرية، مع بداية العصر الإمبراطوري الأعلى حيث وصلت الكتائب العسكرية الرومانية إلى أبعد نقطة في الصحراء الجزائرية وهي منطقة ديميدي دمد حاليا في مسعد، قاموا بتأسيس قلعة كمركز متقدم دفاعي عسكري واقتصادي الهدف منه تجنب عمليات السطو المفاجئة من طرف الأمازيغ المتمردين على المدن والقرى الرومانية المتواجدة في الشمال.
Description:	Abstract: According to the Latin and Greek material and literary sources that cite the news of the war in southern Mauritania and Numedia, the presence of the Romans began in the Algerian desert, with the beginning of the High Imperial era, where the Roman military battalions reached the furthest point in the Algerian desert, the area of Demidi, now in Massad. They established a fortress as an advanced military and economic center, which aimed at avoiding sudden robberies by rebel Amazighs on Romanian towns and villages in the north.
