Résumé:	يسعى البحث لتقديم أهم الأسباب التي وقفت خلف إصدار وعد بلفور، ولعبت دورا مهما في إقدام الحكومة البريطانية على تحمل مسؤولية القيام بهذه الخطوة، والتي يمكن حصرها في: - تأثير ظهور المسيحية المتصهينة: حيث دفع ظهور المذهب البروتستانتي وانتشاره في بريطانيا أساسا، وشيوع كثير من المفاهيم المرتبطة بالعقيدة الإنجيلية الجديدة، التي تجعل من إنشاء دولة إسرائيل مقدمة لعودة المسيح، كل بريطاني للعمل من أجل أن يعود اليهود لفلسطين. - دور النخبة السياسية البريطانية المتهودة: وهم مجموعة سياسيين بريطانيين أمسكوا بمناصب حساسة في الدولة البريطانية طيلة القرن التاسع عشر وبداية القرن العشرين، بعضهم ذو جذور يهودية، وبعضهم فقط متأثر فكريا بطروحات البيوريتان والإنجيليين، مثل تشارلز تشرشل وبنيامين دزرائيلي واللورد بالمرستون، ومثل لويد جورج وجيمس بلفور. - دور عائلة روتشيلد: ومعروف دور هذه العائلة الثرية في صدور وعد بلفور، من خلال علاقاتها النافذة في بريطانيا وما قدمته من مساعدات ورشى للسياسيين البريطانيين. - دور الثورة العربية: فلو لا مساهمة العرب الهامة في التحالف الغربي ضد العثمانيين، وفي سقوط فلسطين في يد البريطانيين، ما كان يجرؤ أي مسؤول بريطاني على إصدار هذا الوعد، وفلسطين بعدها تحت يد الخلافة العثمانية. - الدافع الأمبريالي: وهو تفسير ينطلق من أسباب مادية علمانية بحتة، تجعل أهداف الإمبريالية الغربية الاقتصادية والسياسية هي الأساس، وتستبعد التفسير الديني والتاريخي.

The Role of the British Christian Zionist political elite: a group of British politicians, held sensitive positions in the British state throughout the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, Some of them have Jewish roots, Some are only intellectually influenced by the Puritan and Evangelical views, Such as Charles Churchill, Benjamin Dzeraili and Lord Palmerston, and like Lloyd George and James Balfour. Role of the Rothschild family: The role of this rich family is known in the Balfour Declaration, through its strong relations in Britain and its aid and bribes to British politicians. The role of the Arab revolution: If the Arabs did not contribute significantly to the Western alliance against the Ottomans, and the fall of Palestine in the hands of the British, no British official would dare to make this promise, and then Palestine under the hands of the Ottoman Empire.
