Abstract

The present study aims to identify the relationship between loneliness feeling and self-esteem, and to study the potential impact of each sex (male, female), and area of study (literary, scientific) on the variables of the study, with Sample of students Studying at the University of Algeria (02). The researcher used the descriptive analytical approach, as the study sample consisted of 250 students, was used measure of loneliness psychological preparation of Abraham smelts, as of self-esteem Cooper Smith . The results of the study revealed that there is a statistically significant relationship is negative -0.57 at the level of 0.01. Between Feeling of loneliness and self-esteem of the study sample, while the results revealed that there were no statistically significant differences between the scientific and literary Specialty in the Feeling of loneliness, as it turns out that there are also significant differences in Feeling of loneliness by the academic specialization variable. Where the values of (T) is equal to 2.02 which is significant at the 0.05 significance level, in addition to the results concluded that there are no statistically significant differences in self-esteem based on the variables of sex and specialization course
