dc.description	The urban phenomenon in Algeria, the rapid pace with which it developed, and the resulting multidimensional manifestations, have shown the constant need to understand, define and control its determinants. This repesents a strategic challenge for the authorities to develop appropriate analytical frameworks and produce appropriate criteria for defining the city .This process is indeed linked to the development of the state.
