Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the acquisition of English language vocabulary of Algerian children at preschool age due to YouTube videos channels of learning English for kids. The study also investigated the perceptions of their parents towards the impact of YouTube on the development of their children‟s vocabulary. Twenty four children aged between 3-5 years old participated in the study. Children were exposed to YouTube videos and observed while acquiring English incidentally without formal instruction through repetition and imitation. Data were collected using direct observation in addition to an attitudinal questionnaire. The findings of the analysis revealed that the children who watch YouTube videos acquire vocabulary at a fast way. Therefore, it provides a basis for parents to advance their children‟s acquisition of foreign languages at an early age.
