Abstract: | The purpose behind this academic research is to shed light on the role of using educational technology and its importance in the field of EFL teaching and learning. Nowadays, it is commonly known that the everyday use of technology has a positive impact in our life, there are several technological tools and devices meant to facilitate the teaching and learning process. In the past, the teaching and learning process of language were done between the instructor and the learner without any additional material to help its flow , However , the presence of technology today made learning so much more than a limited process, with its appealing options to improve students language, develop their different skills and get them even more involved in their studies, a case study was conducted at Tiaret University , specifically , the English department ,where students and teachers were selected as the sample population , questionnaires were used as research instruments and data collection tool , the data collection was analyzed quantitatively. The findings of the study revealed that teachers and their learners encourage the use of educational technology and support it; the results obtained affirm that using ICT tools in EFL classrooms have a positive impact on both learners and teachers; it enhances language learning and keeps students motivated. Moreover, all the participants recognized the importance of using educational technology and its significant role in the field of EFL. |
