Abstract: Motivation is a vital component that guarantees the continuity and quality of learning and it has been studied through various and distinct angles. The aim of this research is mainly focused on studying what kind of role/impact does rewarding have in enhancing the motivation of EFL learners, specifically, at the level of second year middle school pupils of Mokhtari Lhadj Middle School in Tiaret as a case study. The research is carried through the triangulation method: a questionnaire for the pupils, classroom observation, and an interview for the teachers to collect accurate and various data to bring new insights to this specific area of study and cofirm the hypothsis suggesting that rewarding is of a significant importance in the teaching-learning process inside EFL classes for it does improve the learners motivation towards their learning process.
