Résumé:	ظلت صحراء الجزائر مجهولة إلى غاية مراحل متأخرة من العصر الوسيط فكان أول من تطرق إلى وصف معالمها وظروفها السياسية والحضارية وذكر حواضرها من الجغرافيين منذ القرن الخامس الهجري ( الحادي عشر الميلادي) البكري ، وفي القرن السادس الهجري( الثاني عشر الميلادي) الإدريسي واليعقوبي وابن سعيد المغربي ثم ابن حوقل.. أما الرحالة المغاربة فقد تطرقوا في مدوناتهم الرحلية وبخاصة الحجية منها إلى واحات وحواضر صحراء الجزائر ( المغرب الأوسط) فقدموا لنا مادة غزيرة يمكن أن يستغلها الباحثون في دراسة الحياة الاجتماعية والاقتصادية والثقافية للصحراء وبخاصة مع مطلع القرن السادس عشر الميلادي إلى نهاية القرن الثامن عشر الميلادي، ونذكر منهم ابن بطوطة، والعياشي والزياني وابن الحاج النميري وبن أبي محلي والحاج ابن الدين الأغواطي وابن الوزان ( ليون الإفريقي). سأحاول من خلال هذه الورقة البحثية أن أتطرق إلى صحراء الجزائر على ضوء كتابات الجغرافيين ومدونات الرحالة المغاربة مستجليا معالمها وخصوصياتها المكانية والبشرية.
Description:	The Algeria sahara remained unknown until the late stages of the Middle Ages, and the first geographers who refer to the description of its features , political and cultural conditions, since the fifth century AH (eleventh century AD) was EL Bakri, and in the sixth century AH (12 th century) EL Idrissi,EL YaKoubi, Ibn said Elmaghribi Then Ibn Hawkal The Maghriban travelers particularly, have studied during their travels the oasis of the Algerian sahara (Central Maghrib). They provided us with a rich material that could be used by the researchers to study the social, economic and cultural life of the inhabitants, especially from the beginning of the sixteenth century until the end of the eighteenth century. Including Ibn Battuta, Al Ayyashi, Al Zayani, Ibn Al-Haj al-Numeiri, Ben Abi Mahalli, Haj Ibn al-Din al-Aghawati and Ibn al-Wazzan (Lion of Africa). I will try through this paper to review the Algerian sahara on the light of the writings of those geographers taking into account their features and their spatial and human characteristics.
