Résumé:	يمكن للأسلوب أن يكون مدخلا مهما لتحليل الإيتوس، وكشف الكيفيات التي يُبنى بها في الخطاب، وما حاولناه في هذا البحث، يتمثل في مساءلة هذه العلاقة الجامعة بين المكَوِّنين الإقناعيين المذكورين (الإيتوس - الأسلوب)، في أفق التوضيح الدقيق لإسهام الأسلوب في الإيحاء بصورة المتكلم داخل الخطاب. وقد اتخذ البحث نماذج من "رسائل الجاحظ" نصوصا تطبيقية، تمكٍّنه من التفاعل مع الإشكالية المذكورة، لأنها تتميز بطابع حجاجي واضح، والجاحظ يسعى فيها إلى الإقناع، باستخدام أدوات حجاجية كثيرة، على رأسها تشكيل صور الذات القادرة على التأثير في المتلقي، واستدراجه إلى تقاسم الرأي مع المتكلم. وفي سبيل تنزيل هذا الطموح التحليلي، عالجنا ثلاث صور يحاجج بها الجاحظ في بعض رسائله، وهي: صورة العالِم المُتمكِّن - صورة المتواضع - صورة الضحية .
Description:	Style can be an important window through which to analyze Ethos, and to unravel how discourse is created. This paper sets out to question of this dialectic relationship between the two aforementioned persuasive components (Ethos - Style), with the purpose of clarifying the contribution of the the style in suggesting the image of the speaker within the speech. In doing so, this research mobilized examples from “Al-Jahiz’s letters” applied texts in so far as it is characterized by a clear argumentative character. Besides, Al-Jahiz seeks to persuade, using many arguments, on top of which is the formation of self-images capable of influencing the recipient and drawing him into sharing opinion With a speaker. In order to materialize this analytical ambition, we dealt with three images that Al-Jahiz used in some of his letters, namely: The image of the capable The image of the modest- the image of the victim .
