dc.description	Summary: This study attempts to reveal the novelist’s role, as an intellectual who carries the concerns of his society, in unveiling what history has transcended and not fully recorded, as he looks at reality and sees what others may not see, and defends the oppressed by rewriting their past and reviving their forgotten memory. The past does not matter in the light of the past, but is perceived in the light of the present. The novel ‘The Ghost of Caledonia’ by Muhammad Muflah is a text that penetrates the rhetorical boundaries and digs into the sedimentary components that future generations need to know their forgotten/hidden history. dc.description.abstract	تحاول هذه الدراسة الكشف عن دور الروائي، باعتباره مثقفا يحمل هم مجتمعه، في إماطة اللثام عما تجاوزه التاريخ ولم يسجله تماما كما ينظر إلى الواقع فيرى ما قد لا يراه آخرون، والدفاع عن المقموعين بإعادة كتابة ماضيهم وإحياء ذاكرتهم المنسية؛ فالماضي لا يهم في ضوء الماضي وإنما يدرك في ضوء الحاضر. ورواية "شبح الكليدوني" لمحمد مفلاح نصّ يخترق الحدود الخطابية ويحفر في المكونات المترسبة التي تحتاجها الأجيال القادمة لمعرفة تاريخها المغيب.	en_US
