dc.description	Summary: The image is regarded as the essence of rhetoric as a source of entertainment and persuasion, because it contributes greatly to attracting recipients and influencing them mentally and emotionally. In its modern perusal, it requires a conscious intellectual presence to grasp its truth, because it deliberately leaves a verbal void that requires the recipient to fill this place with the help of the authorized presumption, or it requires a strenuous effort in interpretation to grasp the horizon expected of it. Therefore, we find that it is distinguished from the rest of the elements by its good statement and strength of argument. dc.description.abstract	تُعدّ الصّورة جوهر البلاغة بوصفها مصدر إمتاع وإقناع؛ لأنّها تُسهم بشكل كبير في استقطاب المتلقين والتّأثير فيهم عقليا وجدانيا، ففي قراءتها الحديثة تتطلب حضورا فكريا واعيا للإمساك بحقيقتها، لأنّها تتعمّد على ترك فراغا كلاميا يستوجب من المتلقي ملء هذا المحلّ بالاستعانة إلى القرينة المصرّح بها، أو تستلزم جهدا مضنيا في التأويل للإمساك بالأفق المتوقع منها، لذا نجدها تتميّز عن بقية العناصر بحسن البيان وقوّة الحجّة	en_US
