dc.descriptionOur study has been carried out in 09 farms located at Tiaret area. It has concerned 653 Holstein dairy lactating cows. Data have been collected and analyzed from registers; some parameters have been determined in order to evaluate reproduction performances and dairy production. Analyzed data have resulted in: - Age of heifers at first calving has been of 27, 98 ± 2, 80 months; the calving interval has been of 415, 25 ± 82, 67 days. It was ranged between 392, 57 ± 58, 12 days to 422, 43 ± 94, 99. - The interval from calving to the first service has been of 87, 51 ± 42, 78 days, and the interval from calving to conception has been of 109, 17 ± 50, 26 days. - The conception rate at first service has been of 66 %, and 18 % of cows have failed to conceive after 03 services or more, synonymous of a poor rate of fertility in this herd. - Calving has been distributed over the year, although, it has been lesser in autumn than in other seasons. - The average rate of abortion at the first lactation has been of 12%, and of 9% in the second lactation.- The average rate of culling has been of 27% at first lactation and of 20% at the second, and of 14% at the third lactation. - Reform of cows has mainly been made for problems of lameness, clinical mastitis, digestive troubles and for poor milk production. 6% of culling has been allowed to problems of infertility. dc.description.abstractL'évaluation des performances de reproduction et de production de la vache laitière dans la région de Tiaret a concerné neuf exploitations, comportant 653 vaches, toutes importées de l’étranger en tant que génisses pleines, essentiellement de race Holstein pie noire et pie rouge. L'âge au 1er vêlage a été de 27,98 ± 2,80 mois. L'intervalle vêlage – vêlage global a été de 415,25 ± 82,67 j, et a varié selon les compagnes de 392,57 ± 58,12 j à 422,43 ± 94,99 j. Le taux de réussite à la première saillie a été de 66%, et le pourcentage de vaches nécessitant 03 saillies et plus a été de 18 %. Le taux d'avortement en 1ère lactation a été de 12 %, et de 09 % en 2ème lactation. Le taux de réforme en 1ère lactation a été de 27 % ; ce dernier a connu une nette régression, pour se situer aux alentours de 20% en 2ème lactation et 14% en 3ème lactation. Cette régression peut refléter l'adaptation de ces vaches aux rudes conditions de notre milieu. La réforme des vaches est majoritairement faite pour des problèmes de boiteries, de mammites cliniques, des troubles digestifs, et souvent aussi à cause d’une mauvaise production laitière. Le taux de réforme pour infertilité quand a lui, a été de 6%.en_US
