dc.description	Abstract: The definition, one of the most essential letters in meaning, is the subject of this essay, which serves as a descriptive case study. With its two meanings, the definition of covenant and the definition of gender, it helps develop Arabic discourse and maintain its cohesion. This is why we set out to examine ancient and current linguists' interpretations of Surat Al-Naba to see whether we could use what we learned. The reasons for using these definitions rather than others have been explained, along with some discrepancies in how they have been interpreted. dc.description.abstract	المقال دراسة وصفية لأحد أهم حروف المعاني، وهي (ال) التّعريف؛ حيث تساهم في بناء الخطاب العربي واتساقه، من خلال المعنيين اللذين تقدمهما، وهما تعريف العهد، وتعريف الجنس، فحاولنا أن نستكشف أحكامهما، في كتب علماء اللغة القديمة والحديثة، جاعلين من سورة النبأ تطبيقا لما نُظّر له قبل، فأحصينا الكلمات المعرّفة بـ (ال)، وبيّنّا بعض معانيها، واختلافات المفسرين في دلالة بعضها لنخلص في الأخير لأسباب توظيف معانٍ دون غيرها.	en_US
