dc.description	This research addresses the concept of mental spaces within the cognitive framework of linguistic study. It begins by precisely defining the term "cognitive" and its dimensions, highlighting the connection between linguistics and cognitive sciences. The theoretical section of the study explores the definition of mental space in terms of language and terminology. It then presents the theory of mental spaces as developed by Fauconnier and Turner, and its relation to other semantic theories. On the practical side, the study focuses on verb categories in the Arabic language (such as conditional verbs, causative, necessity, wish, and "kana" and its sisters), relying on an analysis of tense and event in meaning construction. This is done through the application of mental space mechanisms to understand the deep cognitive structure of these verbs. The study demonstrates the success of the cognitive-comparative approach in uncovering complex semantic structures, calling for further applied studies in this field.	en_US
dc.description.abstract	عالج هذا البحث مفهوم الفضاءات الذهنية ضمن الإطار العرفاني للدرس اللساني حيث تم التمهيد له بتحديد دقيق لمصطلح العرفانية ومسالكه، مع إبراز الصلة بين اللسانيات والعلوم المعرفية. وقد تطرق البحث في شقه النظري إلى تعريف الفضاء الذهني لغة واصطلاحا ثم عرض نظرية الفضاءات الذهنية كما صاغها فوكوينيه وترينر، وبين علاقتها بالنظريات الدلالية الأخرى. أما الجانب التطبيقي، فقد ركز على مقولات الفعل في اللغة العربية أفعال الشرط التعدية، اللزوم، التمني وكان وأقسامها، معتمدا على تحليل الزمن والحدث في بناء المعنى، وذلك من خلال استثمار آليات الفضاء الذهني لفهم البنية الذهنية العميقة لهذه الأفعال. وقد أظهر البحث نجاعة المقاربة العرفانية في الكشف عن البنى المعنوية المركبة، داعيا إلى مزيد من الدراسات التطبيقية في هذا المجال. ً ً	en_US
