dc.description	During the 20th century, Algeria experienced complex political conditions due to French colonial rule, which imposed full control over the country and sought to erase its national identity and suppress Arab-Islamic culture. In response, a cultural and social reform movement emerged, marked by the establishment of cultural clubs that played a key role in preserving national identity. Among these was the "Nadi Al-Taraqqi" (The Reform Club), founded in the capital, Algiers. This club became an intellectual hub where scholars, thinkers, and reformers gathered, actively contributing to the spread of national and religious awareness. It also hosted the founding meetings of the Association of Algerian Muslim Ulema in 1931, making it one of the prominent symbols of the reformist movement in Algeria during that period	en_US
dc.description.abstract	شهدت الجزائر خلال القرن العشرين أوضاعًا سياسية معقدة بسبب الاستعمار الفرنسي الذي فرض سيطرته الكاملة على البلاد، ما أدى إلى تهميش الهوية الوطنية ومحاولة طمس الثقافة العربية الإسلامية. وفي مواجهة ذلك، برزت حركة إصلاحية ثقافية واجتماعية تمثلت في إنشاء نوادٍ ثقافية لعبت دورًا كبيرًا في الحفاظ على الهوية الوطنية، مثل "نادي الترقي" الذي تأسس في العاصمة الجزائر. كان نادي الترقي مركزًا فكريًا يجتمع فيه المثقفون والعلماء والمصلحون، وساهم بشكل فعّال في نشر الوعي الوطني والديني، كما احتضن اجتماعات جمعية العلماء المسلمين الجزائريين عام 1931، مما جعله أحد الرموز البارزة للحركة الإصلاحية في الجزائر خلال تلك الفترة	en_US
