| Description: | The governor is an important figure at the local level in Algeria. They have wide-ranging powers to enforce local administrative penalties on individuals or institutions that violate local legislation or disturb public order. The governor can impose a variety of administrative penalties, including fines, suspensions of licenses or permits, closure of facilities, dismissal of government employees, and other administrative measures. The exercise of the governor's powers in imposing administrative penalties is subject to specific legal procedures, including the issuance of an official administrative decision and consideration of the rights of the affected parties. Oversight bodies and relevant authorities to ensure their legitimacy monitor these local administrative penalties |
