By analysing vast datasets, AI can offer a more precise and objective analysis of criminal risk, potentially predicting cyberattacks before they occur. Imagine a future where AI can identify patterns in criminal behaviour, allowing authorities to intervene proactively and prevent crimes from happening in the first place, this optimistic vision is tempered by a harsh reality: cybercriminals themselves are turning to AI. These malicious actors can leverage AI to craft more sophisticated scams and malware, making it even harder for traditional security measures to keep pace. Malicious actors can exploit AI to personalize phishing attacks, create deepfakes to spread misinformation, or even automate the process of launching cyberattacks across a vast network of compromised devices, this study delves into the intricate relationship between AI and cybercrime.
