Algerian Dialectal Arabic (ADA) is a fascinating linguistic variety that has evolved over the very long history of the country and has attracted a wide range of researchers in the linguistic sphere. This work also examine the origins of Algerian Dialectal Arabic terms and determine the extent to which they are derived from CA or MSA. It attempts to identify the linguistic mechanisms and patterns of derivation from CA and MSA to ADA . The study was conducted at Ibn Khaldoun University in Tiaret (Department of Arabic). Our data were obtained through using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The observation, recordings, a questionnaire which was administered to 80 Master's Degree (1st & 2nd year) students, and an interview that was conducted with six (06) participants took place at the Arabic Language Department. The results revealed that the sociocultural context and historical background play a significant role in tracing the root of words in ADA from CA or MSA. Moreover, the results showed that linguistic practices have led to the creation of many syntactical and morphological changes.en_US
