Résumé: | Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that affects a person's thinking and behavour, often leading to difficulties in distinguishing between what is real and unreal. it touches 1% of the global population. The patients with schizophrenia can express and produce language, in which they face difficulties and disorders in both semantics and pragmatics. Thus, the study is undertaken to learn about Schizophrenia and how it affects the expressive and receptive language. It also seeks to diagnose the semantics and pragmatics cognitive structure in patients with Schizophrenia. To conduct this investigation, a sample of patients with schizophrenia in Psychiatry of Tiaret was randomly selected. For the sake of validity a mixed method is used to collect data from sample participant's, utilizing three instruments observation, interview and questionnaire directed to seven participants. Therefore, our study comes up to prove these hypotheses by using a linguistic battery of tests diagnosing targeting to diagnose and examine the Schizophrenic language. We could find a correlation is equals 0.9 of correlation between mental disease and language impairments in both dimensions semantics and pragmatics. The results have confirmed our hypothesis, that schizophrenic patients have trouble in their semantic and pragmatic cognitive structure of the language |
