dc.description.abstractThe present work aims at shedding light on the attitudes of both teachers and students towards attention in FL sessions. Therefore, it investigates the situation where learners code switch between L1 and L2. This research also seeks to know whether learning a foreign language has any a positive effect on the previous languages in human mind or not. A case study was conducted with different secondary schools relying on a number of research instruments for data collection namely: a questionnaire for learners and a semi-structured interview for teachers. The data collected were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results reveals that secondary school students and teachers of English and German have positive attitudes towards attention in learning FL. It helps them understand better and getting good marks. On the other hand, this study reveals that learning a FL have a positive effect on previous languages as it helps students to overcome anxiety and be more self- confident. At the end, some recommendations were presented to better learning.en_US
