Abstract: The current research aims to investigate the aspect of vocabulary variation in the dialect of Tiaret: Origins and differences. In this regard, this dissertation takes a narrow perspective to investigate the dialectal comparative study between two regions, Tiaret and Souguer and see if there are any similarities and differences between them. This research uses two data collection techniques: Questionnaire and interview, the questionnaire was administrated to 50 master students at Ibn Khaldoun university of Tiaret, and the interview was conducted by with 08 random people outside the university.The main results showed there are some similarities and differences and there are some words used in both speeches cannot change in terms of vocabulary and pronunciation. Finally, the findings indicated that the reason behind this diversity of the two speech communities goes back to the origins of both people of the two regions.
