| Description: | In our study of the subject of the moral note, we dealt with the situation of Algeria during the reign of Governor-General Louis Terman 1881-1891AD. Getting to know General Louis Terman, one of the French civil governors in Algeria. Appointed in this period between 1881 AD to 1891 AD, which was in the period of the French Third Republic, to succeed the governor who was previously Albert Gere in who ruled short between the two rulers Alfred Shanzi and Louis Terman, where Governor Terman adopted a special policy by imposing a set of laws and decrees in The period of his rule, which expanded the fields: administration, education, judiciary, religion and even the field of forests ... etc., and aimed at implementing the policies of integration and annexation and strengthening the influence of settlers in Algeria. His policy had negative consequences for the Algerians, represented in his encouragement and expansion of settlement and the Christianization policy adopted by Lavijri, accusing the general rulers of it. In addition, the emigration of the people abroad and the impoverishment and starvation of the Algerians, and this led to the dismantling of the mass of Algerian society. |
