| Résumé: | The present study attempts to investigates the types of linguistic deviation in relation to psychological turmoil in Eugene O’Neill play “Long Day’s Journey Into Night”. Besides it’s aims also to determining the reasons behind these linguistic deviations . Chapter one aims to describing the eight different types of linguistic deviation according to Leech’s (1969) classification , and how it’s related to psychological turmoil. Chapter two represents the methodology used in O’Neill’s play. Chapter three is a corpus-based and analysis restricted to be following types of linguistic deviations , lexical deviation, phonological deviation, graphological deviation, semantic deviation, and dialectal deviation in “Long Day’s Journey Into Night” . O’Neill motives behind using these deviations is to imply some specific information with their psychological status. |
| Description: | La présente étude tente d’étudier les types de déviation linguistique par rapport aux troubles psychologiques dans Eugene O’Neill Play «Long Day’s Journey into Night». En outre, il vise également à déterminer les raisons de ces écarts linguistiques. Le premier chapitre vise à décrire les huit différents types de déviation linguistique selon la classification de Leech (1969), et comment elle est liée aux troubles psychologiques. Le chapitre deux représente la méthodologie utilisée dans la pièce d’O’Neill. Le chapitre trois est un corpus basé et une analyse limitée pour suivre les types de déviations linguistiques, la déviation lexicale, la déviation phonologique, la déviation graphique, la déviation sémantique et la déviation dialectale dans «Long Day’s Journey into Night». O’Neill Motifs derrière l’utilisation de ces écarts est d’impliquer des informations spécifiques avec leur statut psychologique. |
