The aim of the study is to find out the relationship between criminal thinking and the type of crime of the criminal, as we raised the general question Do social factors have a role in the high level of criminal thinking among prisoners? Then the following sub-questions were asked: 1- Are the degrees of criminal thinking among prisoners related to the presence of social problems (place of residence)? 2- Are the degrees of criminal thinking among prisoners related to the presence of social problems (educational level? 3- Is criminal thinking related to educational level? 4- Is criminal thinking related to the age factor? 5- Is criminal thinking related to the type of crime? 6 - Is criminal thinking after masculinity related to the educational level factor? 7- Is criminal thinking after accepting violence related to the age factor? In order to answer these questions, the study was conducted on a sample of prisoners sentenced to prison in Tiaret Institution, and we relied on the descriptive approach of the study and the Maudsley Scale of Criminal Violence. The study reached the following results: - The existence of a correlation between the social factors of housing variable and criminal thinking. - There is an inversely significant correlation between the educational level and criminal thinking, the lower the level of education, the higher the level of criminal thinking. - There is a statistically significant inverse correlation at the level of 0.01 between the age of the offender and criminal thinking, i.e. the higher the age of the offender, the lower the level of criminal thinking. There is no correlation between criminal thinking and the type of crimes committed. - There is a statistically significant correlation between the virility factor and the number of times imprisonment. - There is a statistically significant correlation between the virility factor and the educational level. - There is a correlation at the level of significance 0.05 between the dimension of accepting violence and the age of the perpetrator. We concluded, as a general conclusion of the study, that the level of criminal thinking has a correlative relationship among prisoners with the social problems represented in the low educational level and the living situation of the criminal in his housing conditions.en_US
