| Description: | The Arab Egyptian intellectual Abdelwahab Elmessiri project is the foundation of a new Islamic modernity instead of the western materialist one according to him. Language is a main issue in this project, especially the question of terminologyas terms are the titles of the concepts which are the units of his cognitive system that system depends mainly on the critique and the deconstruction of the western cognitive paradigm and deconstructing its terms via detecting their aspects of bias that can be transferred by translation. This paper is an attempt to describe Elmessiri's approach in translating western terms. |
