dc.descriptionMaqama is known as an ancient prose literary art that appeared in the fourth century AH. It is almost a short story that revolves around intrigue and fraud in an interesting style, with its owners showing their linguistic and literary prowess. This research, entitled: The Aesthetics of the Dramatic Style in the Maqamat of Badi’ al-Zaman al-Hamdhani, is considered one of the studies in which we tried to address the origins, development, and most important characteristics of the maqama, where this art originated Gradually from storytelling and news, and the prevalence of graphic and artistic embellishment methods, and Badi’ al-Zaman al-Hamdhani is the first of its pioneers, and many writers followed his path, such as: Ibn Faris, Ibn Duraid, al-Hariri, and Ibn Mahrez al-Wahrani, where the aim of its emergence was to teach language methods to young people and depict life The social scene of that era, and this is what we saw in the Isfahani maqama and how it shares with the play in its dramatic construction of an idea, characters, dialogue, time, place, and the elements of suspense and surprise.en_US
