Abstract: The study aims at exploring the teacher-student rapport and its effects on the EFL learners speaking skill development. The hypotheses of this work is that rapport influential on the students’ speaking skill and has great impacts, then the EFL teachers do establish rapport in EFL classes to encourage the students to speak, we also hypothesized ways that EFL teachers implement to establish the rapport. In order to realize the objective of the study and to check the validity of hypotheses, a descriptive exploratory study is carried out. The questionnaires were the main data gathering tools, the questionnaires were administered to second year LMD students of English in Tiaret and to English teachers in Tiaret university as well. The findings were shown that good teacher-student rapport impacts positively the students and encourage them to promote their speaking skill.
